Ah, the joys of watching your little little turn into a bigger little and want to feed herself. How sweet it is when she yanks the spoon out of your hand and flings it about before putting it in her mouth.
This is what happens when mommy just says, fine...feed yourself. And the counter, and the dogs, and my hair.
I stupidly wondered how come they made bibs with sleeves. How could a baby be so messy??
Ah, yes, that's why
So Miss E's favorite toy is Maggie Mae the poodle. No doubt about it. She loves the other dogs too, but Maggie is the only one who lets Ella pull, yank, hit, climb and do basically whatever she wants to her. She will lay her head on Maggie and say, "Awwww".
I think Maggie's motto is 'any attention is good attention' because Ella can get kinda rough with the ear pulling. And Mags follows E around like a shark waiting for food. Cuz, ya know, she really is waiting for food, like puffs and bagel bits.
Yes, I realize that again it looks like I am posting pictures of animal-on-child abuse at our home. But it's not. More like completely happy, giggling sillyness.
Can you find Ella?
Yep, there she is! At the bottom of the dog pile.
Zues, Maggie and Iza giving E some slobbery love
Seriously this kid loves the dogs. I have never seen a child so young be so comfortable with the craziness of 8 dogs.
And most of the dogs love her right back! Especially Zues.
The wet tongue lashing is what really gets Miss E going. She never laughs as hard at anything else as she does when she is getting licked.
So when Maggie first came along, we realized that she had springs for legs. As in, she loves to jump really high. And now, it's her thing. We tell her to JUMP! with arms stretched high above our heads and Maggie jumps high up in the air. Over and over until she's worn out and wants a cookie. Well the little must have been paying attention.
