Lord Help Us...She's Talking!!!

Well not full on just yet! But even though she hasn't been feeling well lately, when she is in the mood, she coos up a storm. I have been trying for a week now to get it on video. Every time I hold the camera up, she stops talking and intently stares at it. So that is why the camera angle isn't awesome here. I totally tricked her!

The video is a lot longer but Blogger will only let me upload a portion of it. Ella smiles and responds best to 'Mama', 'Ella' and 'ooh', although here, 'cupcake' does the trick. She is starting to make a running commentary when she watches TV. I think she is saying how funny Sponge Bob Square Pants suprisingly is. And I even hear her in her crib at night. Not sure who exactly she is talking to, but if she is anything like her mother, she doesn't need anyone particular to babble on!

It's Almost Bunny Time!!

It's spring time and that means lots of flowers, pink and seersucker! And of course, the Easter Bunny. Can't wait to see what ol' long ears brings Ella!

Boyfriend and Girlfriend

Check out Aunt Jessica's blog for absolutely adorable pics of Ella with her boyfriend Jack last weekend!!

Yummy...Mud Bugs!

On Saturday, Daddy decided he wanted to try his hand at cooking crawfish...yucky! We had enough to feed a small army and lots of friends came over to partake in the festivities. Ella went through a few outfits between spit up and a lovely blow out that ended in an early bath. But we only got a picture of one.
What she wore:
Baby Nay Zig Zag Jumper
Teal Espadrilles (that only lasted for a little bit because she kept kicking them off)

Oh No!! Don't eat me!

All the yucky little creatures..Told you we had a ton!

Daddy grilling some fish for Mommy because I just can't bring myself to eat crawfish.

As soon as our friend Erica went to hold Ella, she started crying. Turns out she was hungry and Erica did a great job settling her down while Mommy got her bottle ready.

Then Ella went to Aunt Lacey for some love. She was pretty happy for a bit, but wasn't feeling well all day. So she kind of zoned out for a while.

And then passed out!

Yucky..Shots!!

Ella went to the doctor today for her 2 month appointment. It was shot time!! I was very scared of how it was all going to go down, but our sweet girl surprised me. She cried for a few seconds during the shots, then calmed right down and fell asleep. She has been whimpering on and off this evening. And her eyes say she isn't feeling awesome. But no screaming or fever, yet.
Our big girl is 10 lbs, 13oz! At 22 inches long, she is growing like a weed! For such a big girl, she is still right in the middle at 50th percentile for height and weight. Here are a few pics of the cupcake in her adorable outfit. Of course we had to dress up to see our fave doc!

At 2 months, Ella:
Pays rapt attention when you read her a book. Current fave is Brown Bear, Brown Bear
Says 'ah', 'ma', and 'ooh'
LOVES watching TV, especially Dora the Explorer and Keeping up with the Kardashians (yes, we watch it and will soon have to stop before she can really figure out what's going on!)
Smiles all the time especially when you say her name or sing and even smiles at strangers!
Follows Daddy's voice when he comes home from work
Sleeps 7-8 hours a night
Likes to be outside and look around
Reaches for toys that rattle
Grasps clothes, hair, jewelry, whatever she can get ahold of and even holds her hands together
Holds her head up most of the time without wobbles
Pushes legs out and scoots herself around when on her tummy
Discovered her thumb and is working on sucking it

A 'Bear'-y Cold Day!

Early this morning we had a big thunderstorm move thru and it was Ella's first one! I was a bit worried that the thunder would wake her up and since it was dark, the lightening too. But not a peep, until 7:30 when she woke up to eat! However, her hair looked like she had been hit by lightening!

Oh no!! Stop taking pictures of me with my hair in such a mess!

Along with the storms came a cold front. It's very chilly and windy. Perfect weather for a 'Bear'-y cute outfit from Tia!

I'm cuter than you are... nanny, nanny, boo, boo...

Little tail butt!!

The Daily Threads

So there is no point to this post. It is simply to show off the super cute outfit Ella wore today! She has soooo many cute outfits and they all must be photographed so that she can show her grandchildren what a hip, fashionable baby she was!
What she wore:
GapBaby Polka Dot Leggings and Dress with pink Trumpette socks

Look at this sweet little face! Aahhh...I just can't get enough!

This was taken last night...totally unrelated to the cuteness above. This look will be dubbed "Chillaxin..Ella Style"

Happy 2 Month Birthday Ella!

Happy 2 month birthday Ella!! I can't believe how big you've gotten! When I went to pick you up from your crib the other morning, you felt so big in my arms!! Love you baby bean!

At the end of her birthday, we put on the pink duck jammies and got into bed. She was so sleepy and slept 8 long hours without a peep!

Nighty night!

To celebrate Ella's birthday, we went to a photo shoot Uncle Deklynd was doing with Aunt Lyndsey. Ella's very first photo shoot! Daddy sent her off with a hug and kiss.

Once we got there, Uncle Michael wanted to show some love. He kept asking if she was pooping, and thankfully, this time she wasn't!

Aunt Lyndsey looking absolutely stunning and showing Ella how a natural model works the black carpet runway.

The beautiful model Aunt Lyndsey and Ella, who fell asleep for a bit. Check out the necklace...it's from Kendra Scott's wedding collection that's not out until fall. It's absolutely stunning and Mommy suuuure loves it...hint, hint!

The master behind our hair...Deklynd Channing. Posing with the model and future model Ella.

When we got home, Ella was in a great mood and all smiles. So we took some runway photos in her super cute Tiny Turtles outfit.

Check out her perfect little cinnamon roll belly button!! That's what the pediatrician and all the nurses call it. It really does look like the yummy treat.

She has the model look down...an intriguing little smirk that's not quite a smile.

I'm So Glamorous...

Well it's been a fun few days around here. Ella went on her first road trip to San Antonio to see our awesome cousins. And it's been warm and sunny so it's time to bust out all the cute spring duds.

But first, you know my girl is a Glamour Girl...

And she's a true Longhorn fan through and through...

So we went to see our San Antonio cousins and had so much fun! Ella was a sweet girl the whole time. She slept all the way down and woke up to eat at the restaurant while we all chatted. Then she got to meet her cousin Gabi!
