Two Teeth!!!

No wonder E has been very grumpy lately! She has gotten two teeth in one week! I guess I'd be pretty crabby too. She finally let me see them enough to take a picture. I actually got a lot of pictures. The problem is that most of them had her hand in them. If she's not trying to keep me from seeing, she's trying to play with the camera.

I love this face. A bit cross-eyed from staring at the camera. But, hey, look at those lashes!! I'm so jealous! Miss E so got Daddy's lovely lashes.

The one on the left you can see pretty well. It's the one that came in last week. The one on the right is just barely poking through.

But on to your fashion update for the day. My little strawberry.

Sporting Baby Boden Berry and a custom bow from Etsy!

Huh?!?! What was that???

That was actually Molli the cat that caught E's attention. She so knows the animals by name. Everytime I say one of their names she yanks her head around to see who I am talking too.
And in other news, Miss E drank from her sippy cup all by her big self today!! And I didn't even have to encourage her. Her juice was sitting next to her on the bed when I went into the closet. I came out and there she was, proudly holding, and more importantly, drinking from her sippy!
And I had forgotten to post at the time, but since the main goal of this blog is for me to be able to look back and remember all the details of E as a baby, I'll post it now. She slept on her tummy for the very first time on August 19th. And I did what I totally thought I wouldn't do. Yep, I got up about every hour to confirm that she was still alive. I remember scoffing to myself, saying, "I'll never be all crazy when she starts sleeping on her tummy, checking to see if she's still breathing!" Yeah, well, never say never. Rationally, I knew she was fine. That if she had enough strength in her upper body to roll onto her tummy, she could certainly roll back. But the freakishly-castrophizing-anxiety ridden side of my brain kept saying, what if, what if??? Well, I'm happy to report that here we are, several weeks later and she is just fine.

Chilly?

Yes, 60 degrees chilly! That's what it feels like outside right now. Yes, it may be 7:00am and yes, it is probably going to hit 100 today, but hey....it's 60 degrees right now!
So chilly, E needed a little sweater.

And we've got our fist booboo folks. Booboo from walking that is. While walking down the coffee table, a small book was pulled off with small, exploring hands. Said book landed on said toe.

Owweee!!

Lately E had forgone the mamama, dadada, babababa for a different kind of talking. And she shows off her new talent anywhere...the grocery store, while eating at Hyde Park, at the bank. You know, anywhere where people don't want to hear it really. Except for me, Mama can't get enough.

A Tooth, A Tooth!!

Finally!! It has taken f.o.r.e.v.e.r. I swear poor E has been teething since about 4 months. You could see her bottom two teeth right there since then. But she picked a great and memorable day for this to happen for a couple reasons.
1. Last year, on this exact same day, this happened....

It's a GIRL!!! We found out we would be welcoming sugar and spice and everything nice! I will forever remember this day because I was so excited and....
2. The 25th is Poppy's birthday! And I remember being so excited to tell him there was yet to be another girl for him to dote on in the family. So we celebrated his birthday will pink on the brain.
So tomorrow for Poppy's birthday, we will be able to see the first tooth too! The first tooth on the first grandbaby...what a day!
And I also find the choice of tooth to come in first memorable. I have been having dreams about E getting teeth and it's always been her front, bottom right tooth that came in first. You see, the bottom front two have been in a race to see which would erupt first. It almost seemed like she would cut both at the same time! Well, don't you know, it's the front bottom right tooth that came in first! I am clairvoyant!!! (I realize that it was a 50/50 chance, but whatever)
And I have no picture at the moment because that sweet (aka stubborn) little girl still doesn't like to 'let me see'. So you can get a quick glimpse at the tooth but that's it. The rest of the time, she closes her trap shut or sticks her tongue in the way. Very clever little child of mine, very clever.

Hippo Birdie to Ewe!

Last Saturday, the original Austin Edgertons and original San Antonio Edgertons (now Harris', soon-to-be-Woods, Graves and Smiths) got together to celebrate Poppy and Hoot's birthdays. It was time for suits, sun and savory treats. There are soooo many great pictures of everyone and I tried to not post all 150 of them, but we had such a great time!
"Hippo birdie to ewe, hippo birdie to ewe...you look like a monkey and you smell like one too!!"

I absolutely looove these pics...Dani flying through the air!

Look how high Lucky throws Reid!

The big finale...literally. Gabi preceded her jump with, "And a one, two, one-two-three!"

Sweet cousins. Dani, Reid and Gabi are absolutely the most wonderful kids you will ever meet. Funny, dangerously smart, polite and sweet as candy. I hope Ella has as fond of memories of playing with them as I do of playing with Tia, Mimi and Birdy.

Look how good Dani is at holding Ella! She asked if she could hold her for the picture and never let go, not until I put my camera down and went to grab E. Such a sweetheart!! It's hard to believe that darling was a flower girl in my wedding! And that handsome man in the background was a ring bearer! Gabi was there too, just in her Momma's belly!
We miss our San Antonio peeps!
